Description The role of Construction Support Engineer (Readiness and Rams co-ordinator) will be to satisfy our obligations as Principal Contractor and meet the challenges of the Brownfield environment and the associated third-party interfaces. Costain have developed a construction readiness process that needs to be followed to ensure works can commence safely and in compliance to the project’s third-party obligations. Reporting to the Chief Field Engineer and in support of the responsible Construction Area Leads (North and South), this role ensures that those readiness activities are planned, tracked and co-ordinated and in compliance to our obligations and to provide visibility of live status across multiple construction work pack scopes. In addition, a key component of the readiness process is the production of RAMs by the Facilities Contractors and review and acceptance by Costain in accordance with our defined review process. Ownership and co-ordination of the RAMs process is an important part of the role and one critical to the overarching construction readiness process. Ideally suited to a candidate who has worked on construction projects, is IT literate, highly organised and detail orientated. This role will be based full time on site. Your unique skills and experiences could be exactly what we need. LI-AW1 Responsibilities Development, maintenance and ownership of the construction readiness tracker. Co-ordinate readiness activities as required (For example support kick off meetings and construction readiness reviews). Reporting on the readiness status including status dashboards and KPI input. Fulfilling the role as RAMs co-ordinator including development and maintenance of the RAMS register. Provide regular status and KPI reports to the Chief Field Engineer, Construction Area Leads and wider management team. Provide early warning notification of threats to the agreed readiness milestone dates to the Chief Field Engineer, Construction Area Leads and wider management team. Qualifications Experience of working on construction projects. Highly organised and motivated. Detail and accuracy orientated. Strong communication & teamwork skills. Skilled in development and management of excel based trackers. Experience based candidates accepted. Microsoft software packages. Relevant CSCS Card Has fulfilled a construction role previously. Experience of working on contracts across the Teesside industrial complex including Wilton and North Tees sites. Understanding of safe systems of work including Risk Assessment and Method Statements
