About The Role

As a Head Chef, you will manage the kitchen team to cook and serve nutritious, healthy meals that Residents will love. You’ll provide great choices, considering cultural preferences and dietary requirements. Whether managing food stock, optimizing your budget, or liaising with support teams on nutrition standards, Resident wellbeing will always be your priority.
We are looking for a Head Chef with an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate, and an understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Beyond qualifications, we value your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You should be organized, able to plan and prioritize independently, follow recipes accurately, and communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All staff must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately, escalating actions when necessary.
