Speech and Language Therapist
Location
Hillingdon Granges – comprising Yiewsley Grange, Colne Grange, Upton Grange. Predominantly based at Yiewsley Grange, supporting other sites as required.
Salary
Up to £53,200 FTE DOE plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus (two payments of £2,500).
Hours and Contract
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am–16.30pm; Permanent (term‑time only or full‑time flexibility based on personal circumstances).
Responsibilities
Deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. Work within the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working and professional standards. Hold a caseload with support from the clinical supervisor and site lead, and contribute to staff training and multidisciplinary consultation. Use innovative approaches to enhance pupils' quality of life and outcomes.
Qualifications
* Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy
* HCPC registered
* 1–2 years experience in a similar setting as a fully registered member of the RCSLT
* Relevant experience engaging individuals with complex communication profiles
* Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma‑informed practice
* Experience in multidisciplinary settings
* Experience communicating with families and carers
* Interest in developing knowledge in different areas of SaLT practice
* Good relationship‑building, analytical and judgemental skills
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Good time‑management and organisational skillsCompetent in core SaLT practice and RCSLT Communication Standards
* Knowledge of SaLT assessment tools and intervention methods
* Knowledge of relevant legislation for clinical practice and professional management
* Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
* Willingness to attend training and pursue further qualifications
* ASD experience
* Understanding of sensory, motor, and other differences affecting communication
* Understanding of the relationship between arousal levels and communication
