Overview
Curriculum Manager English role based in London, leading the development and delivery of outstanding, industry-relevant programmes within our Further Education team. The role focuses on teaching quality, learner experience, and strategic objectives across the English curriculum and services.
Responsibilities
* Lead on the development and delivery of outstanding educational provision.
* Collaborate with staff across departments to implement innovative and inclusive practices that support learners and colleagues to thrive.
* Manage teaching and support staff, driving performance and accountability.
* Design, plan, and deliver high-quality, learner-focused curriculum programmes.
* Ensure compliance with funding regulations and quality assurance processes.
* Use data effectively to improve learner attendance, retention, and progression.
* Manage budgets and resources to deliver cost-effective, high-impact provision.
* Prepare for and contribute to internal and external audits, inspections (e.g., Ofsted), and quality reviews.
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.
Qualifications and experience
* Proven track record of leading teaching teams or departments within an educational setting.
* Deep understanding of curriculum design, quality assurance, and student achievement.
* Strong strategic thinking, communication, and people management skills.
* Collaborative mindset with ability to build effective internal and external partnerships.
* Commitment to inclusive and empowering learning environments.
* Proactive, strategic mindset with commitment to continuous improvement and learner success.
* Relevant teaching qualification and leadership training (or willingness to obtain) with experience in English.
* Ability to teach in line with AQA and Edexcel requirements.
