Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience
Here’s a chance to build a home the right way from the start.
It’s a newly renovated 3-bed house in a quiet part of Blackburn, registering as a 2-bed children’s home. Thoughtfully done, proper space, nothing crammed or clinical. SC1 is complete. Part of the team’s already in place. All that’s missing is the right manager to bring it to life.
You’ll be leading the home through registration and beyond. Setting the tone, shaping the team and embedding the kind of culture where everyone knows what good looks like. You’ll have the autonomy to do things properly, and you’ll be backed by a Director who’s serious about care, development and doing right by the people we support.
It’s their first home, but there’s a clear plan to grow. The focus is on getting this one right before anything else.
What the role looks like:
* Taking the lead on registration and getting the home placement-ready
* Building a calm, reflective team that actually works well together
* Running day-to-day care, routines, planning and compliance
* Keeping the focus on quality, not just ticking boxes
* Working closely with Ofsted, professionals and families
* Helping shape the direction of the wider service as it grows
What we’re after:
* Experience as a Registered Manager or a strong Deputy ready to register
* Level 5 in Leadership and Management or close to finishing
* A clear, confident leadership style that holds steady under pressure
* Good knowledge of regs, EBD and trauma-informed practice
* Someone who genuinely wants to do the job well
* Full UK manual licence
