£65‑75k target plus £6‑9k car benefit plus Bonus

About the Role
Are you a Senior Project Engineer / Engineering Manager with strong Project Management skills in CAPEX? Ready to lead projects, engineering standards, capital projects and engineering operational excellence? Can you lead and ENGAGE with impact and a world‑class engineering toolbox? Are you an engineering Subject Matter Expert for projects in a manufacturing environment?
Responsibilities
* Manage the planning and implementation of capital and revenue projects, covering factory equipment, process, packing lines, site services, process engineering, and construction design management.
* Drive line installations and BAU engineering projects.
* Plan, execute and lead project activities for feasibility studies, equipment specifications, supplier selections, equipment commissioning and validation within demanding time‑scales.
* Reporting directly to the Project Engineering Manager, deliver pragmatic, value‑engineered projects to cost and time specifications.
* Coach, mentor and develop multi‑functional teams of engineers and designers/contractors to ensure successful delivery of projects.
* Lead engineering and production teams during equipment installation and start‑up, supplier selection, feasibility and justification analysis, and equipment commissioning.
* Liaise with departments cross‑functionally to ascertain requirements and define project scopes.
* Prepare specifications/briefs for external suppliers for tender.
* Manage tender processes, including supplier selection exercises.
* Manage external suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
* Lead, monitor and review projects internally across departments.
* Co‑ordinate all contractors in accordance with our policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering backgrounds, ideally in a regulated environment from high FMCG volume manufacturing.
* Experience developing technical engineering solutions in automated environments.
* Experienced Project Engineer from FMCG manufacturing, food preferred.
* A degree in Engineering or equivalent, preferably chartered.
* 5+ years of Engineering leadership experience with exposure to FMCG environments.
* Proven leadership and senior stakeholder management.
* Excellent people leadership skills to motivate, lead and drive projects.
* High level of IT literacy and fully conversant with MS Project.
