If so, the team at GSL Education Kent wants to hear from you. We are currently looking for a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Swanley. This full-time, long-term position is available to start immediately. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will play a vital role in helping students with additional needs—such as ASD and SEMH—to engage with their lessons and build confidence in their academic abilities.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:
Deliver bespoke 1:1 support and lead small group interventions for students with EHCPs.
Work closely with the SENCO to implement individual learning plans effectively.
Adapt complex lesson content into more accessible tasks for students.
Uphold strict school protocols regarding safeguarding and student welfare.
In order to be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role, the candidate must:
Possess recent experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
Display a calm, adaptable nature when faced with challenging classroom situations.
Have a strong desire to improve the educational outcomes for vulnerable learners.
Have the right to work in the UK.
Meet GSL’s safer recruitment background checks.
Have an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
