Music Teacher – Hammersmith, Inner London Inspire Creativity and Performance in a Premier West London School, Start January 2026 We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and committed Music Teacher to join the successful Performing Arts faculty at a high-achieving secondary school/academy in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position starting in January 2026 (or sooner). Music Teacher required (Main/Upper Pay Scale) Full-time, Permanent position starting January 2026 High-achieving secondary school in Hammersmith, Inner London Teach Music across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (GCSE/A-Level/BTEC) The Opportunity The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective Music specialist dedicated to delivering engaging and rigorous practical and theoretical lessons. This is an excellent opportunity to teach within a well-resourced department and contribute significantly to the school's vibrant extra-curricular programme, which includes leading ensembles, concerts, and whole-school productions. This is a dedicated classroom teacher role within a supportive department. The school is committed to continuous staff development, offering excellent mentoring and CPD for all staff and pathways for those who aspire to take on future leadership responsibilities (TLR). The School This is a highly respected school located in a desirable Inner London borough, known for its strong academic results and its commitment to excellence in the creative arts. The Music department is highly valued, often boasting excellent facilities, including dedicated practice rooms and up-to-date music technology suites. The school provides a supportive, collaborative working environment and benefits from excellent transport links across Central and West London. We Are Looking For: A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). A proven track record as an excellent Music Teacher, with the ability to confidently teach GCSE and A-Level Music (or BTEC equivalent). Strong subject knowledge across composition, performance, and music history/theory. Proficiency in leading vocal and/or instrumental ensembles is highly desirable. A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire high levels of engagement and musicianship across a diverse student body. A collaborative mindset, committed to contributing positively to departmental planning and school productions. Salary and Benefits Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Inner London Teachers (currently £40,317 - £62,496 for 2025/2026).
