Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated bricklaying improver to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of building tasks, ensuring projects are completed to high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilising a range of skills and tools.
Responsibilities
* Construct, repair, and maintain structures using various materials and techniques
* Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
* Carry out masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete pouring
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
* Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Skills
* Experience in bricklaying, concreting, blockwork
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools
* Experience driving a forklift desirable but full training can be given
* Good understanding of construction processes and safety procedures
* Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately desirable but training can be provided
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail
* Physical fitness to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team effectively
This role is suitable for individuals who have some experience in the building trade, improvers are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate a proactive attitude towards safety and continuous learning within the construction industry.
The successful candidate should be polite and presentable and self-motivated to work alone or as part of a team. Physically fit, in good health, be hardworking and should have a clean driving licence and most importantly be willing to learn.
Must have labouring experience, full PPE. CSCS not essential.
Working on a self employed basis under CIS ( Construction industry scheme). Employment is a possibility.
