Job Description
The Community Physical Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive services within the Community Health Services Program, as a member of a multi-disciplinary health team committed to health promotion and disease prevention. Assessment and treatment services may be provided to outpatients, inpatients, residents of nursing homes and to clients in their own homes or workplaces. This position also offers some opportunity for delivery of educational programs.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy
2. Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists
3. Valid Class 5 driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
4. Ability to conduct training programs for caregivers and other groups
5. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting
6. Broad knowledge of the physical therapy field
7. Effective oral and written communication skills
8. Excellent assessment, diagnostic and intervention skills
9. Extensive knowledge of and ability to deliver preventive, treatment and maintenance therapy programs
10. Organizational skills
11. Public relations skills
