Job Title: Plant Maintenance Engineer
Location: Derby area
Shift: Rotating Shifts – 2 nights every 8 days on the shift cycle
Pay Range: Up to £57k plus overtime
Contract Type: Contract to Permanent

Our client is a large Global manufacturer with a global footprint. It is an established site with an established LONG SERVING engineering team. Staff retention is excellent. Training, development, and support is provided on a manufacturing site. You will help the site make high-quality processed products.
We have a vacancy for a Mechanical Bias maintenance engineer to focus on plant and process maintenance areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
* Lead electrical and instrumentation repair, and work with CMMS.
* Diagnose, resolve, and eliminate root causes of mechanical engineering faults.
* Design, trial, and implement minor equipment modifications to support increased performance.
* Complete all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated.
* Contribute to planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering.
* Manufacturing industry experience, multi-skilled with mechanical bias – ideal.
* Fitting, fabricating and welding experience preferred.
* Experience with pumps, valves and process equipment – ideal.
* A proactive approach to fault finding, commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
