Teaching Assistant SEN Full Time Crosby £95 - £110 per day 08:30am - 15:30pm Prospero teaching are working with a SEN School based in Crosby, the school deals with students with additional needs, mental health issues and learning difficulties. The pupils have usually experienced some form of trauma, neglect or chaotic home life or all of these things. Your role is to build a connection with the young people and act and a mentor and role model for the students. You must have a strong TA or Tutoring background with students from PRUs or SEMH schools. Due to the barriers the pupils have in the classroom, the role will entail forging strong relationships with pupils.This role: The role will see you using lots of mentoring skills (similar to that used in sports, drama, counselling) to help the individual engage with the school. Working within the Secondary site at the school with ages from 7 to 16 years. You will support the pupil in the classroom and out of the classroom on a more vocational basis. The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in mentoring children and young adults. Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.
