We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and experienced Electrical Building Services Design Engineer, at or towards a Senior level, to join our M+E and NetZero team in Nottingham. You will help grow our Building Services Engineering offering in Nottinghamshire and surrounding regions.
The role involves working closely with the Managing M+E Engineer and supporting sustainable solutions for our clients, with a focus on energy and carbon reduction.
You should demonstrate experience in consultancy teams and possess skills including:
* Producing electrical design information, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
* Good organization and time management skills.
* Analyzing relevant information considering project constraints and budgets.
* Carrying out site surveys diligently.
* Representing the department at client and design meetings.
Requirements:
* HNC in Building Services Engineering or related field.
* CIBSE/IET Membership preferred, with motivation for professional accreditation.
* Experience with industry software such as AutoCAD, Relux/DIALux, and Microsoft Office.
* Motivated, proactive approach, and a full UK driving license.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing design calculations and tender documentation.
* Conducting site surveys and feasibility studies.
* Representing the department at meetings, answering queries, and recording minutes.
* Working in accordance with regulations and standards, including Building Regulations and British Standards.
* Maintaining quality standards and participating in training.
* Staying updated on industry developments and best practices.
