Portuguese Speaking Accounts Payable Assistant - FTC Location: Cardiff Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 per annum Hours: 36 hours per week Contract: Fixed-Term Contract About the Role Our client, a leading international organisation based in Cardiff, is seeking a Portuguese-speaking Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll play a key role in managing purchase ledger, staff expenses, and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all processes. Key Responsibilities Process and record supplier invoices and maintain the purchase ledger. Manage and verify staff and corporate credit card expenses. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice or payment queries. Liaise with suppliers and internal departments in both Portuguese and English. Assist with month-end close, including accruals and reporting. Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team as required. The Ideal Candidate Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written). Experience in an Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger role. Excellent accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail. Confident communicator with a proactive approach. Strong IT skills, including Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
