Job Description
The responsibilities of an Assistant Capital Accountant may include but, are not limited to:
3. Assist in the preparation of capital account reports and statements.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
5. Support the management of fixed assets and maintain accurate records.
6. Work closely with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
7. Contribute to the development of capital accounting policies and procedures.
8. Participate in financial projects within the public sector.
9. Support the wider Accounting & Finance team as required.
10. Continuously strive to improve financial processes and systems.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Capital Accountant should have:
11. A recognised accounting qualification, or equivalent knowledge.
12. Experience in a similar role within the preferably within the public sector.
13. Knowledge of capital accounting principles and procedures.
14. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
15. Strong IT skills, particularly in financial systems and Excel.
16. A commitment to improving public services.
