This is a great opportunity to work on career-defining projects. Experience on projects valued at $80m to $100m+ is preferred.
Our client is an established leader in the development and construction industry, known for high-quality practices. They seek an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Contracts Administrator to join their team in Sydney, Australia.
The project portfolio includes residential, mixed-use, office, retail, and industrial sectors. You will be responsible for financial management, ensuring projects meet or exceed budgets, and providing financial and administrative guidance to the project team.
Reporting to: Contracts Manager
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of subcontract processes
* Negotiate and review subcontract tenders, prepare tender comparisons
* Prepare, check, and review subcontract packages, scopes, lettings, and procurement schedules
* Monitor subcontractors for environmental compliance
* Prepare accurate payment schedules
* Manage subcontractor contractual risks
* Process progress claims, delay claims, and external variations
* Develop project budgets and provide final account forecasts
* Assist with project completion and testing plans
* Support project team as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field
* 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
* Financial or accounting experience is advantageous
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Knowledge of project administration and controls
* Excellent communication skills
* Negotiation and stakeholder management skills
