Our client, a respected UK regulator, is seeking a
Policy Manager
to lead on the development and delivery of regulatory policy that supports effective and proportionate decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced policy professional who enjoys shaping policy frameworks, responding to complex consultations, and influencing decisions that protect the public and uphold professional standards.
As a Policy Manager, you will:
* Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based regulatory policies that align with statutory objectives and organisational priorities.
* Conduct detailed research and analysis to support the formulation of policy recommendations and strategic decisions.
* Prepare high-quality policy outputs, including consultation documents, position papers, and reports for senior committees and external stakeholders.
* Coordinate and manage consultation exercises, analysing responses and producing summary reports to inform final policy positions.
* Work collaboratively across teams to ensure regulatory policies are consistent, effective, and deliverable.
* Engage with government departments, professional bodies, and other regulators to share insight and ensure alignment on key policy issues.
* Provide clear and concise policy advice to senior managers and decision-makers, ensuring recommendations are evidence-based and proportionate.
What we're looking for:
* Significant experience developing and delivering policy in a regulatory, governmental, or similar public sector environment.
* Strong analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to produce well-evidenced, high-quality policy documents and consultation responses.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and representing organisational positions externally.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work both independently and collaboratively.
* A strategic mindset with sound judgement and attention to detail.
