Training Manager at Transdev Blazefield Limited
Transdev Blazefield is recruiting for a Fleet Engineer to be based in our offices in Starbeck, Harrogate or in Queensgate, Burnley.

What will you be doing?
* Provide day to day leadership, guidance and advice to engineering colleagues, particularly the Engineering Managers, Standards Engineers and General Managers
* Recruit colleagues to the engineering team to budgeted staffing levels
* Communicate daily with engineering team, to understand and identify key issues and concerns
* Complete regular performance reviews for direct reports in line with company expectations
* Ensure all colleagues follow the Group SAFS process
* Carry out any investigations into serious incidents
* Ensure the vehicles are maintained to a safe and satisfactory standard that exceeds the minimum standards set by the DVSA
* Manage key engineering projects as may be assigned to you
What we need from you?
* Previous experience of working in a managerial role within a large fleet engineering function
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, drive and shape the culture of the engineering team
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internal and external to the company
* Project management skills, including the ability to work flexibly and to deliver to tight deadlines
* Practical knowledge of vehicles systems, DVSA standards, electrical systems and repair, body repair techniques and the use of engineering software systems
* Previous experience of working within the bus industry
* Flexibility for evening / weekend work if required
* Regular travel to locations within Transdev Blazefield, or if required, within the wider Group and travel to customers and / or suppliers if required
