Responsibilities
Include:
1. Prepare and/or check designs, analyses, reports, drawings, specifications, and other documents related to plant, facility, and equipment within licensed sites.
2. Participate in problem-solving for technical solutions and new designs.
3. Manage design work packages appointed by the Discipline Lead and provide regular progress reporting.
4. Supervise and guide junior staff, utilising Learn from Experience information for continuous development.
5. Support the development, construction, operation, and maintenance of facilities to ensure compliance with design intent and safety regulations.
6. Collaborate with various stakeholders such as Engineers, Safety Case Engineers, Project Managers, and Design Authority for project deliverable and technical issues resolution.
What You Need to Succeed
7. Master's degree in civil or structural engineering.
8. Chartered Engineer registered with Engineering Council or working towards chartership.
9. Knowledge of seismic codes, architectural design, and construction techniques for nuclear safety-related structures.
10. Experience in technical management of complex design development throughout the design lifecycle.
11. Familiarity with relevant design codes and nuclear safety standards.
12. Strong project management, budgeting, and risk assessment skills.
13. Proficiency in engineering office computer applications and design support for construction projects.
14. Mandatory course completion in Site Induction, Fire Safety, Diversity, Data Protection, and other relevant topics.
