Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced Alternative Provision Tutor to work with a Year 8 student who is currently experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and has significant gaps in their education. The student has recently relocated and is in need of a supportive, consistent tutor to help rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning. This role is for 15 hours per week, split into 3 hours each week day. Timings are flexible. If you are seeking additional hours, there are further opportunities that can be undertaken alongside this tuition.
About the Learner:

* Recently moved to the area
* Has gaps in both Maths and English
* Needs a calm, encouraging tutor to help them re-engage with learning at their own pace

# Use creative and flexible teaching strategies to meet the learner's individual needs
# Track progress and adapt sessions accordingly

* Strong background in Maths and English tuition
* Patient, empathetic, and skilled at building rapport
* Able to work independently and communicate effectively with parents and professionals

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

+ Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL

Experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
* Hold right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide references upon request
* Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
