Based at the Stockton HQ, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join the friendly and dynamic Finance Department. You'll be part of a highly skilled, self-motivated team ensuring our statutory and regulatory financial obligations are met with precision and timeliness.Your new roleAs a Senior Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Financial Controller and wider finance team. You'll be responsible for a variety of finance and administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes and helping maintain a professional and welcoming office environment.Key Responsibilities
* Manage credit control and sales invoicing for the organisation and its subsidiaries.
* Access and monitor bank accounts.
* Support the Finance Assistant with:
o Matching purchase invoices
o Resolving payment queries
o Supplier statement reconciliations
o Payment runs
o Spreadsheet maintenance
o Month-end reporting
o Document control (filing, photocopying, scanning)
* Handle incoming calls and resolve queries or forward messages appropriately.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe, tidy, and welcoming office space.
What you'll need to succeedStrong knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
* Proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
* Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
