Research Associate / Senior Research Associate – (Project-Specific Role)
General Description The University of Strathclyde invites applications for a Research Associate / Senior Research Associate to join a funded research project within a leading academic department. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to high-impact, interdisciplinary research in a collaborative and innovation-focused environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the objectives of the project, undertaking both independent and collaborative research. Core responsibilities include designing and implementing research methodologies, conducting data collection and analysis, and producing high-quality outputs such as peer-reviewed publications, technical reports, and conference presentations.
The position involves close collaboration with principal investigators, academic colleagues, and external partners where applicable. The postholder may also contribute to the development of new research proposals, support funding applications, and participate in knowledge exchange and impact activities.
At the senior level, additional responsibilities may include leading aspects of the research programme, mentoring junior researchers, and contributing to strategic research development within the department. The role also includes active participation in the academic life of the university, including seminars, workshops, and collaborative initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria Applicants must hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant discipline. For the Senior Research Associate level, significant postdoctoral experience and a strong track record of research outputs are required.

Salary Details Salary will be aligned with the University of Strathclyde’s Research Associate / Senior Research Associate salary scales and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
