About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will support children with a range of special educational needs, helping them engage with learning, build independence, and reach their full potential. Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff, you will provide tailored learning support, implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
Help pupils develop positive relationships and self-regulation strategies.
Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs.
Promote emotional wellbeing and resilience through structured routines and positive reinforcement.
Support behaviour management calmly, consistently, and empathetically.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure effective support for each child.
Contribute to a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:
Willing to complete a DBS check or provide a current certificate.
Able to provide two professional references.
Proof of right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
