The Role As a Senior Product Engineer - Composite Applications at Safran Electrical & Power you will utilise your experience to increase our capability of designing, manufacturing and certifying composite applications. Your skillset will ensure the future of our motor, generation & system requirements. You will deliver robust designs and work packages using Catia and NX CAD software to high tolerances for use in the aerospace industry. You will be responsible for developing innovative mechanical design solutions, to current and future aerospace industry challenges, on existing and next generation smart motor and power generation technologies. Apply industry best practices to create lightweight, durable, and efficient composite components that meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and deliver robust solutions that meet the requirements of electrical motor and generator applications, ensuring the right material choices are coupled to produce the most efficient parts. Perform design calculations to complement/justify your design theory, and to support the analysis departments to evaluate and validate your proposals. Deliver engineering solutions that meet 'Design to Cost' and 'Design to Manufacture/Assembly' requirements. Oversee the development of test plans and testing activities, to verify the performance and durability of the product and of the constituent composite components. Work in collaboration with industrialisation engineers, manufacturing engineers and supply chain to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes.
