Key responsibilities of a Hospital Manager;
* Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the hospital
* Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act, HIW, and other regulatory bodies
* Oversee the care and safety of detained patients
* Manage staff performance, development, and team morale
* Ensure high standards of clinical governance, patient care, and safeguarding
* Contribute to action plans from inspections and ongoing quality improvements
* Work closely with senior clinical and psychology teams
* Support planning and preparation for an exciting new build project
Key requirements a Hospital Manager must have :
* Registered Nurse – RMN or RNLD
* Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience
* 2+ years in a hospital management role
* Strong understanding of mental health law and regulatory frameworks
* Confident working with detained patients
* Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
* Ability to manage audits, trackers, and governance systems
