Drivers Mate - Furniture Delivery
Location: Runcorn, WA7 3AL
Salary: £12.86 per hour
Hours of Work: 4 ON / 2 OFF
Start Times: Between 5:00 and 8:00 am
Shift Length: Average 11 hours (minimum 9 hours guaranteed)
Job Type: Temporary ongoing for the right candidate

About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Driver’s Mate to join our friendly delivery team based in Runcorn. This is a hands-on role assisting the driver with the delivery of furniture to customer homes. The job involves heavy lifting, manual handling, and excellent customer service, as you’ll often be the face of the company during home deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the driver with loading and unloading furniture safely.
2. Deliver furniture items to customers’ homes across the region.
3. Handle goods with care to prevent damage during transit or delivery.
4. Support with room-of-choice deliveries.
5. Provide a professional and friendly service to customers at all times.
6. Follow all health and safety procedures and manual handling guidelines.
7. Maintain cleanliness and order in the delivery vehicle.
Requirements
8. Previous experience in a similar delivery or warehouse role preferred (training provided).
9. Must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
10. Good communication and teamwork skills.
11. Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.
12. Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends if required.
