Your new role
Asmercial Manager, you'll drive the financial success of projects from tender topletion. Your key responsibilities will include:
7. Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
8. Negotiating contract terms, variations, andmercial agreements
9. Managing subcontractor agreements and procurement processes
10. Conducting regular project reviews to monitor financial performance
11. Preparing and submitting applications for payment
12. Managing cash flow forecasting and budget control
13. Ensuring fullpliance with contract requirements
14. Collaborating with project managers, site teams, and senior leadership
15. Identifyingmercial risks and opportunities
16. Maintaining high standards ofmercialernance
What you'll need to succeed
Essential requirements:
17. Degree in quantity surveying,mercial management, or related discipline
18. Substantialmercial experience in civil engineering/construction
19. Strong knowledge of standard contracts (particularly NEC and JCT)
20. Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office
21. Excellent analytical and numerical skills
22. Ability to interpretplex contract documents and identify risks
23. Strong negotiation andmunication abilities
24. Detail-orientated with excellent organisational skills
25. Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
