GSL Education seeks a Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in Southampton. This role offers flexible working opportunities, allowing you to choose between 1 and 5 days per week with no minimum days required. All lesson planning will be provided—your primary role will be to maintain a positive learning environment and ensure students complete the work set by the class teacher.
Key Responsibilitiesof aCover Supervisor (CS):
* Supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned lessons.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Ensure students remain on task and complete set work to a high standard.
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and progress.
* Support the smooth running of the school day.
Skills & Requirements:
* Strong classroom presence and ability to engage with secondary school students.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain a productive learning environment.
* Previous school-based experience is beneficial but not essential.
* Havean up-to-date CV(covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service(or be willing to apply for one)
