Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and caring preschool Assistant to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will support the development and well-being of children within a nurturing environment, assisting with daily activities and ensuring a safe, engaging space for learning and play. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare and early childhood education to make a positive impact on young lives.

Responsibilities
* Assist in supervising children during play, learning activities, and mealtimes, ensuring their safety at all times
* Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate educational activities that promote development in social, emotional, and cognitive skills
* Help maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment
* Support children with personal care routines such as dressing, feeding, and hygiene as needed
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork
* Contribute to the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
* Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and updating child development progress reports
* Support the management team in organising outings or special events involving children
Skills
* Experience or background in childcare, nursery work or early childhood education is highly desirable
* Leadership qualities to guide children effectively and work collaboratively within a team
* Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
* Ability to work well with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding
* Knowledge of childcare regulations and health & safety standards within a nursery setting
* Driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or supplies when required
