Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001 standards, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile role, with up to 50% UK-wide travel.
What You’ll Do:
* Provide specialist guidance and advice to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
* Support risk management by establishing an environmental assurance regime, including risk-based audits, ensuring effective practices through inspections and audits.
* Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
* Develop and maintain performance data, providing carbon management reports for various requirements.
* Ensure regular reviews of environmental aspects and impacts, including climate change risks.
* Support project teams to embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout the Project Life Cycle.
Who You Are:
You will have experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within industries such as Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, or Construction.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum Qualification: PIEMA
* ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor
* Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice for business operations
* Experience reducing environmental impacts of equipment and infrastructure across product lifecycle stages
* Managing and delivering complex technical, change, and improvement projects
* Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK
