UK based position (hybrid working available) - able to travel up to 50% of the time (within EMEA/RoW)
Your role in our team:
The Director of Sales, EMEA/RoW is responsible for driving revenue growth in key global geographies throughout EMEA/ROW, through direct sales teams, and through distributors in the rest of the world. The role requires supporting the sales teams in the field to develop key accounts and growth strategies, and being the voice of the sales team, leveraging insights to inform regional & global marketing strategy. The Director will leverage their network and experience of account management to accelerate the development of key accounts, aligned with the company's objectives.
This position will be UK based with the requirement to travel within EMEA/RoW.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leverage knowledge of life sciences (and ideally iPSC-derived cell industry) and your established network to accelerate opportunity pipeline and customer base, with a particular focus on driving global key account strategy (biopharma and CRO segments).
* Review and shape sales strategies to communicate value proposition and drive product and service demand.
* Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Support teams to ensure end-to-end customer success.
* Execute, manage, measure, and optimise global sales strategy with agility for regional differences.
* Drive a winning culture focused on enabling customer success with bit.bio.
* Champion, train and coach to ensure a consistent message about bit.bio’s vision, value proposition and customer excellence is effectively positioned to customers and future prospects.
* Define and ensure adherence to key processes to include, but not limited to CRM hygiene, sales territory design and alignment management, sales targets and compensation design, new customer vetting.
* Support the distributor manager to shape distribution, channel strategy and implementation.
* Hold a minimum BSc (Hons) or higher in a scientific discipline, ideally in Cell and Molecular Biology (or equivalent experience).
* Have significant experience managing sales of technical products or services to the Life Sciences industry across international markets within the EMEA & RoW regions.
* Are highly organised, detail-oriented and an excellent communicator (both written and verbal).
* Have the ability to inspire, influence and propose and drive change where needed.
* Are self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset.
* Have the ability to translate a vision into reality with fast-paced decision making and execution.
With essential experience in…
* Business leadership experience within the Life Sciences industry in a commercial role (ideally product sales, a combination of equipment and consumables would be considered).
* Previous success and experience of managing and coaching sales managers to optimise team performance and output.
* Experience and commitment to work hand-in-hand with a digital-first marketing function, to test and build scalable customer journeys.
* Requirement to lead by example by being present in the field to support and coach the team on big deals.
* Strong financial acumen and an expert understanding of sales and revenue operations.
* CRM experience and active funnel management.
* Experience of managing distributor regions and/or channel strategy.
* Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (within EMEA/RoW).
* MBA qualification would be desirable.
* Practical experience with cell culture, gained through postgraduate academic work or in an industrial laboratory.
