About the role

This role as a Buyer for Waitrose & Partners (Level 7) involves working in a Category Pod with responsibilities including collaboration, supporting KPIs, and influencing stakeholders.
This is a permanent role, with potential for a fixed-term or secondment opportunity, reporting to a Senior Buyer in the Meat and Fish team.
At a Glance
* Salary: up to £55,000, depending on experience
* Contract: Permanent and fixed-term (secondment) positions available
* Working pattern: Hybrid approach, approximately 3 days in the office at Bracknell Head Office
Key Responsibilities
* Assess and report on commercial performance and KPIs
* Prepare and negotiate annual terms
* Manage costs and forecast financials accurately
* Operate within legal and ethical standards, negotiate business terms
* Manage both branded and own-label assortments
Essential Skills/Experience
* Experience as an Assistant or Junior Buyer or similar
* Data analysis for strategic decisions
* Continuous improvement and performance management skills
* Cross-boundary collaboration skills
* Ability to empower others
