Job Description
Outsourcing Assistant Manager - £50k-£55k - Opportunity in Milton Park, Oxfordshire!
If you're a confident outsourcer ready to step into a leadership role with strategic oversight, portfolio control, and people management - this could be your perfect next move.
I'm working with a modern, fast-growing outsourcing firm based in Milton Park (OX14) that supports ambitious, fast-scaling SMEs, particularly across financial services and investment management. They're now looking for an Assistant Manager to help lead delivery across a key section of their portfolio and mentor a growing team.
What you'll be doing:This is a true Assistant Manager role - hands-on with client delivery, but with clear responsibility for team leadership, workflow management, and client relationship ownership. You'll be:
* Managing a sizeable portfolio of multi-entity clients
* Reviewing and signing off on management accounts, VAT, FCA returns, and statutory reporting
* Leading on client queries, advisory matters, and process improvements
* Supporting onboarding and shaping best practice
* Managing, mentoring and developing junior team members
* Playing a key role in operational decisions and client service strategy
You'll be given the freedom to manage your work your way, within a highly supportive and collaborative structure. The pace is quick, the standards are high - but the people are down-to-earth and team-driven.
Work setup:The role is hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
What they're looking for:You'll be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or very close) and have proven experience in outsourced finance or multi-client delivery. You'll already be reviewing work and managing client relationships, and now want to step further into leadership. Financial services sector experience is great but not essential.
If you're based within a commutable distance of Milton Park (e.g. Abingdon, Didcot, Oxford, Reading) and ready to move into a more senior, impactful role - it's worth a conversation.
