My client, a busy specialist civil engineering contractor are currently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This business has a strong track record within the delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects up to the value of £10m. They are regarded as true specialist within demolition, enabling works, infrastructure, basements and substructures, hard and soft landscaping and external works.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will on appointed projects:
* Ensure thorough understanding of project(s) contractual and commercial requirements
* Ensure timely submission and agreement of applications, cost plans, variation details, claims and other documentation
* Place subcontract orders
* Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts.
* Form strong relationships with site teams as well as the client’s management team
* Demonstrate confidence and expertise, with minimal input from the Commercial Manager/Commercial Director, in dispute resolution and risk & opportunities profiling
* Support the wider Commercial team including mentoring and assisting with development and training as and when required
The contractor is about to secure major infrastructure contracts with a number of key clients across Scotland, so there will be some elements of travel as and when required.
