Salary: £12.21 - £12.46 per hour
Overview
Care Assistant – Flexi Days and Nights, 33 hours per week. The role of a Care Assistant is to support people living in Orchard Care Homes with dignity and respect, enabling them to engage in meaningful activities and receive the best support in line with their individual needs. Main Duties
* To enable people to remain as independent as possible while providing support and assistance as per the individual’s needs. This includes delivering personal care (washing, dressing, and oral care).
* Be understanding and patient towards everyone and their needs; encourage and support participation in leisure activities appropriate to the individual and their preferences, including assisting with outside appointments and leisure outings.
* Responsible for making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning duties, and keeping the home clean, pleasant and welcoming at all times.
* Help to serve meals and drinks at mealtimes, presenting meals attractively and providing appropriate support as needed.
* Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements relevant to the role (Health & Safety, COSHH, Care Standards Act) and Infection Prevention and Control policies to maintain a safe environment.
