The Role:
The company is seeking a Senior Project Planner to join their UK-based project team in Oxford. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in mechanical or process engineering planning, who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create, develop, and manage detailed project schedules across all phases: design, pre-construction, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning
* Support project managers in producing accurate, deliverable programme of works files
* Produce labour histograms and detailed progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks or delays early
* Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
* Ensure adherence to planning procedures and company standards
* Assist in identifying project delays or claims and support demonstration for resolution
* Contribute to organisational growth through planning support on new and existing projects
Candidate Profile:
* 5–7 years’ experience in a planning role within the construction industry, specifically in mechanical/process engineering
* Proficient in Primavera P6, Asta, and Microsoft Project
* Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
* Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Confident in negotiation, scheduling, and time management
* Comfortable using the Microsoft 365 suite
