A Service Support Engineer role, providing operational support for security and monitoring systems across Heathrow Airport. The role supports critical infrastructure as part of long-term service and upgrade contracts (including a 5‑year Genetec support agreement).

Hours: 37.5 per week - days & nights
Pay Rate: £36-£39 per hour (depending on experience)

Notice Period: 1 week (both sides) Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line and on-site/remote support for CCTV, ANPR, radar, body-worn cameras, sensors, intercoms, and related systems
Perform preventative, planned, and corrective maintenance on hardware and software
Install CCTV and ANPR equipment (day and night shifts)
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota to meet SLAs
Produce reports, RAMS, permits, and support documentation
Coordinate service and project activities with internal teams and Heathrow stakeholders
Attend progress meetings and hand over documentation after installationsRequired Experience & Skills
Strong experience with CCTV VMS systems
Hands-on experience with CCTV, ANPR, radar systems, and field installations
IT security systems and networking knowledge
Experience in live/operational environments
Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Familiarity with LAN, wireless, fibre/cabling, and enterprise telecoms advantageous
Competent with MS Word and Excel Qualifications
Minimum 2 years' experience in IT, networking, or engineering
Educated to C&G, HNC, or A‑level standard
Formal training in project management, networking, or IT systems desirable but not essential
