Bespak is looking for a Development Scientist for the Holmes Chapel site, CW4 8BE. This is an 18-month maternity cover position. The salary for this role is £36.5k to £42.5k. Other benefits you will receive are 25 days leave plus bank holidays, discretionary annual bonus, generous 10% pension contribution, onsite free parking, and medical / dental / health / life assurance. Working Pattern – Monday to Friday usual working times of 8:30am to 5:00pm with an 8:30 am to 3:45pm finish on a Friday. There is some flexibility on start and finish times and hybrid working would be considered within the needs of the business. As a Development Scientist, you will provide crucial technical and scientific support to the Drug Product Development function, primarily focusing on complex inhalation product development projects. You will drive new product introductions from initial formulation assessments through to the commercialization of viable products, ensuring they are stable, effective, and safe. Additionally, you will identify and implement product and process improvements and ensure all development activities meet the highest standards of effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance. As a Development Scientist, your duties will include:
* Supporting drug product development with scientific expertise.
* Scaling up pre-clinical to commercial processes.
* Identifying product and process improvements.
* Conducting project work and investigations.
* Ensuring development meets high compliance standards. Development Scientist, beneficial key skills and experience:
* Advanced Diploma or Degree in Science/Engineering.
* Experience in a technical pharmaceutical development role.
* Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Capability in basic statistical data analysis.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills.
