LeoVegas, a subsidiary of MGM Resorts International, is at the forefront of creating groundbreaking sports betting and iGaming experiences worldwide. We're expanding our 'Core Experience' team and are seeking a talented and experienced Product Design Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online betting and gaming.
This is a blended role, with people-manager responsibility, and hands-on design work. You'll be based in either our Leeds or Newcastle office (hybrid working) and will play a critical role in ensuring our products (including BetMGM and LeoVegas) not only meet regulatory requirements but also resonate deeply with local users.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 Product Designers allocated to different market clusters, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
* Oversee the design quality and consistency across multiple market clusters, ensuring alignment with the overall product vision and brand guidelines.
* Contribute hands-on to design work for key market clusters, driving UX/UI excellence and ensuring a user-centered approach.
* Drive design strategy and innovation within the Core Experience team, identifying opportunities to improve the user experience and drive business growth.
* Own the end-to-end design process (UX/UI) for the core functionality within your assigned market clusters, deeply understanding user needs, current workflows, and how they can be improved.
* Collaborate with a dedicated team (Product Managers, Product Owners, QA, Engineers, and other designers) to design and deliver exceptional user experiences.
* Work with cross-functional partners to balance polish and speed towards effective execution.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience as a UX/UI/Product Designer, with at least 2 years of experience in a lead or mentoring role.
* Proven experience in leading and managing a team of designers.
* Strong understanding of design principles, user experience methodologies, and interaction design best practices.
* Experience with design tools like Figma.
* Ability to produce a great range of UX/UI concepts, as well as go deep to identify edge cases.
* Loves to discuss design in group settings, participate in design critiques and reviews.
* Experienced in conducting workshops and co-creation sessions.
* Self-motivated and able to efficiently run with a project without close supervision.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English
Nice to have skills:
* Experience working with design systems and tooling.
* Knowledge of sports betting and/or iGaming industry.
* Experience working with international teams and markets.
