JOB PURPOSE
To help create a friendly, welcoming, caring environment for customers of Dewars Centre.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Duties
* Responsible for creating and maintaining the desired image of Dewars Centre through a welcoming, friendly approach to all customers
* Operate the point of sale till system in reception, issuing receipts for various activities
* Carry out cash handling duties, taking monies and giving change to customers for admission to the centre
* Receive and process credit cards and cheques
* Take bookings for the facilities and all classes within the Facility
* Sell items available for resale in the reception area
* Keep and maintain a stock control of resale items at reception
* Deal with enquiries from the public, both in person and on the telephone
* Provide information on programming and promotional events within the centre and Live Active Leisure
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in and around the Facility at all times
Other
* Assist with clerical duties as necessary
Health and Safety
* Comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation
* Liaise with Live Active Leisure maintenance team and other agencies to ensure that the Centre provides a safe, quality environment at all times
Training
* Attend regular staff training sessions, be they held in-house or externally
General
* Ensure you are physically fit to carry out your duties at all times
* Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines
* Carry out other reasonable duties as may be required
