Job Description
Job Title: Forklift Operator / Ops Assistant – 40hrs per week (M-F)
Department: Operations - Warehouse
Reports To: Operations Team Leader
Location: Gillingham
Overview
The Operations Assistant role involves all warehouse activities related to receipt, locating, replenishing, counting, picking, checking, packing, and dispatching of goods. It also includes the accurate and timely processing of customer sales orders and returns.
Job Responsibilities
* Accept inbound deliveries and record purchase order details on the daily log.
* Unpack, check, and store received goods in correct warehouse locations.
* Complete stock replenishments as directed and report stock movements accurately to maintain location accuracy.
* Undertake cyclical stock counts as directed.
* Select goods for customer orders from designated stock locations, securely pack, and label for transit.
* Perform 100% checks on all picked orders.
* Process customer returns according to instructions.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping following cleaning plans from the Team Leader.
* Comply fully with all Health and Safety requirements and instructions.
* Perform other duties as requested by the Operations Department Management Team.
Skills & Experience Required
Qualifications:
* Counterbalance / Reach Truck Operator certification
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Experience:
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
