Are you a Psychology graduate or experienced support worker with a passion for mental health and behaviour support?
We’re working with a brilliant SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school that’s looking for a compassionate, patient, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This isn’t your typical classroom role. You’ll be part of a dedicated team supporting pupils who need extra emotional and behavioural guidance — helping them build trust, resilience, and confidence, one small win at a time.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Supporting pupils aged 11–16 with SEMH and associated needs
2. Working 1:1 and in small groups to promote emotional wellbeing and positive learning
3. Assisting teachers in creating a calm, consistent environment where students can thrive
4. Using your understanding of psychology to support behaviour regulation and social development
What We’re Looking For
5. A degree in Psychology or experience in SEMH / Mental Health support
6. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help young people succeed
7. Ability to stay calm under pressure and think on your feet
8. A positive attitude and team-focused approach
If you’ve studied child psychology, worked in youth mentoring, or supported children with emotional or behavioural needs — you’ll feel right at home here.
