Head of Platforms & Operations

Sunderland - onsite 3x per week
We are representing a business at a very exciting period of change and modernisation. They are seeking a Head of Platforms & Operations to be part of their transformative journey in a new leadership team.
Within this position, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimising the platform and operations functions within the IT department. You will lead the design, implementation of robust platforms across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
We are looking for:
* Proven experience in platform engineering and IT operations
* Demonstrated success in leading platform and operations teams
* Hands on experience with major cloud platforms (ideally AWS or Azure)
* Deep knowledge of DevOps, automation, and IaC.
It would be a bonus if you had:
* Familiarity with compliance standards
* Knowledge of network, compute, storage, and security architectures.
