Attendance & Engagement Tutor – Openshaw (M11) Reconnect. Encourage. Inspire. At TP Tutors, we’re looking for empathetic and motivated professionals to support pupils in Openshaw (M11) who need help improving their attendance, engagement, and confidence in learning. Many of these pupils may have experienced difficulties attending school due to social, emotional, or behavioural barriers. Your role will focus on re-establishing a positive relationship with education — helping them rebuild trust, structure, and motivation through one-to-one, face-to-face sessions. You’ll work closely with each learner, providing a mix of academic catch-up support and mentoring, ensuring sessions are engaging, consistent, and centred around their personal goals. Lessons are delivered in safe, community-based settings such as libraries or at the pupil’s home. We’re looking for caring, reliable individuals with experience in education, youth work, or mentoring. You’ll be confident working independently, skilled at building rapport, and able to adapt your approach to suit different learners’ needs. An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
