CNC Setter/Operator - Night shift
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4pm - 4am
Salary: Up to £20 per hour
Location: Thetford
TEC Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join a growing precision engineering company based in Thetford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist looking to join a stable and well-established manufacturing environment with long-term career prospects.
The Role
The position will involve setting and operating CNC Turning machines to manufacture precision engineered components to customer specifications and engineering drawings.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Setting and operating CNC Turning Centres
2. Tooling selection and machine set-up
3. Adjusting offsets and machine parameters
4. Producing components to tight tolerances
5. Performing quality inspection checks
6. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
7. Supporting continuous production output
8. Maintaining health & safety standards within the workshop
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
9. Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator
10. CNC Turning / Lathe experience
11. Experience with Fanuc, Siemens or Mitsubishi controls
12. Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
13. Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers
14. Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
Desirable Experience
15. DMG MORI or Citizen machinery
16. Multi-axis turning
17. Live tooling
18. Minor program editing
19. Continuous improvement / production optimisation experience
