Rate of Pay: £27.48 - £36.45 per hour
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Youth Justice Operational Manager to support the delivery of high-quality services for children, young people, and families within the Youth Justice Service. The role involves leading a multi-agency team, overseeing service performance, safeguarding vulnerable children, managing risk, and driving service improvement across prevention, court, and intervention services.
Responsibilities:
* Support and deputise for the Service Manager in delivering Youth Justice Services
* Lead and manage a multi-agency operational team across prevention, out of court, and court-directed work
* Provide robust oversight of case management, interventions, safeguarding, and risk management
* Develop and review intervention programmes to meet the needs of children and young people
* Manage service performance, audits, quality assurance, and improvement activity
Qualifications:
* Recognised professional qualification in Social Work, Probation Studies, Youth & Community, or relevant Youth/Criminal Justice qualification
Essential Requirements:
* Significant post-qualification experience within Youth Justice or Children's Services
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, youth justice legislation, risk management, and restorative practice
* Experience managing multi-agency teams and delivering high-quality interventions
* Experience working collaboratively with partner agencies to improve outcomes for children
* Ability to manage performance, quality assurance, and service improvement activity
