A well-established UK-based distribution and wholesale business is seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead the next phase of growth.
The company operates within the product supply and distribution sector, serving a diverse customer base across retail, trade, merchant, and e-commerce channels throughout the UK. The business has an established market position and international sourcing capability.
Reporting to the Group CEO, the Managing Director will hold full P&L responsibility for the UK operation. The successful candidate will lead commercial strategy, operational performance, customer engagement, and team development, while driving sustainable and profitable growth.
This role requires a hands on leader with strong commercial judgement, the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels, and experience managing complex customer relationships in a fast paced distribution environment.
Essential Requirements:
* Existing Managing Director, General Manager, or Commercial Director with significant leadership responsibility
* Proven experience within wholesale, distribution, import, or FMCG sectors
* Thorough understanding and established relationships within the UK independent retail, builders merchant, DIY retail, and e-commerce landscape
* Strong commercial and operational capability with full P&L ownership
* Track record of delivering profitable revenue growth across multiple sales channels
* Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams
