Carer Within Reach Worker
18 hours per week: £22,931.88 (pro rata) Over a minimum of three days per week
(Flexible working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate)
25 days holiday per year with an additional 3 days to be taken during Christmas closure (pro rata)
3 Year Contract (Subject to continuation funding)
Sunderland Carers Centre is the centre point of support for all unpaid Carers in Sunderland, providing vital advice and support to families with caring roles. Delivering services across the City of Sunderland area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Carer Within Reach Worker.
Responsibilities
* The successful candidate will be part of the Carer Contact Team providing a listening ear service to those carers identified as being socially isolated and would benefit from a Within Reach call.
* Provide solution focused support to carers and their families; demonstrate great communication and organisational skills.
* Contribute to delivering services across Sunderland and support carers in their caring roles.
* Engage with applicants and respond to inquiries; assist with the application process as required.
* Support the team to maintain accurate records and DBS considerations as applicable.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Great communication and organisational skills; ability to provide solution focused support.
* Experience working with carers or in a support/advocacy role is desirable.
* Commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace.
