Venture Dairy Services delivers integrated customer solutions that support high-quality, efficient, and sustainable milk production and animal husbandry. Our portfolio includes automatic and conventional milking systems, automated feeding solutions, slurry equipment, and advanced digital herd-management technologies. Operating primarily across Devon and Cornwall—with occasional travel beyond these areas for specific projects—you will report to the Senior Manager, Service & Installation, working collaboratively with Team Leaders to support our customers and dealership operations. Responsibilities / Tasks This role is location based out of Colliton Barton, and will involve being on-site or customer locations between 0815-1700hrs daily. Technical Service & Maintenance: Perform preventative and reactive maintenance, repairs, servicing, upgrades, and installations for both Automatic Milking Systems (AMS) and Conventional Milking Systems (CMS). Slurry Equipment Support: Deliver technical support through maintenance, repair, servicing, upgrading, and installation of slurry handling and management equipment. On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rota to provide timely technical assistance to customers outside of standard working hours across an assigned region. Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete job records, including service reports, parts usage, and time allocations, to support customer invoicing and stock control. Quality, Safety, Health & Environment (QSHE): Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of QSHE standards, ensuring compliance and promoting best practices across all activities. Business Development & Customer Care: Act as an ambassador for Venture Dairy Services by upholding our values, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting the growth of the business through professional conduct and high-quality workmanship. Your Profile / Qualifications Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English as a minimum. MS office proficient Experience as a Dairy Technician (Essential) to diagnose and rectify faults. Current MSTA registration (desirable) Knowledge of slurry systems (desirable). Must have a cat ‘B’ UK driving license (endorsements and points must be declared) Availability to travel around the SW and occasionally to Channel Islands if required A resilient person able to work comfortably in farm environments in all weathers, Good communicator skills, ability to adapt and make technical decisions with minimal guidance.
