We are currently seeking a
dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant
to join a supportive school environment on a full-time basis until Easter. The school provides a
well-organised and positive learning environment, where pupils benefit from caring staff, clear routines, and purposeful teaching. Leadership works closely with support staff to maintain high expectations and ensure pupils feel
safe, confident, and ready to learn. Pupils respond particularly well to adults who help build confidence, encourage engagement, and reinforce consistent behaviour expectations. Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils in accessing learning across a range of subjects and classroom activities
Assist the class teacher with delivering planned lessons and facilitating
small-group work
Reinforce key learning objectives and help maintain pupil engagement
Follow established classroom routines and behaviour management strategies
Provide
one-to-one or group support
where required
Assist with the preparation and organisation of learning materials
Promote pupils'
social and emotional development
Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise the
welfare and wellbeing of all pupils
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who: Has experience supporting pupils in a
primary or secondary school setting
Demonstrates strong
communication and organisational skills
Can follow teacher guidance while also working proactively
Maintains a
calm, patient, and supportive approach
Is confident supporting behaviour management and pupil engagement
Is adaptable and able to support pupils with
varying learning needs
Is reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting pupil development
Is dedicated to
safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
